Thursday 2 November: “Flow & Glow” | 4-week Vinyasa Yoga Foundation Course with Claudia

Ever find yourself in a yoga class thinking, “What am I supposed to do now?” or “What’s the purpose of this pose?” or “What does this even mean?”. Join Claudia’s 4-week course to find the answers.

This course will allow you to feel and experience how to extract more strength, balance, and enjoyment from your Vinyasa yoga classes.

Each week, we’ll focus on different principles and techniques, emphasizing the fluidity of movement synchronized with the breath.

The following topics will be covered in detail:

WEEK 1: ‘THE POWER OF PRANA’ BACKGROUND & VINYASA YOGA FUNDAMENTALS
We start from the beginning. We’ll begin with some general background on yoga and the fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga. You’ll learn about prana, vayus (movements of energy), and bandhas (our support system). We’ll also make a start with the flow of Surya Namaskar (the sun salutation).

WEEK 2: ‘STANDING STRONG’ | BASIC ASANAS & TECHNIQUES
In week 2, you’ll deepen your understanding of Surya Namaskar and learn the techniques of some common standing foundational postures. You’ll experience and feel the purpose of different asanas. We’ll focus on building strength and flexibility. Additionally, you’ll discover how to modify postures to suit your body better.

WEEK 3: ‘DIVE DEEPER’ | ADVANCED ASANAS & TECHNIQUES
Building upon week 2, we’ll add advanced and seated postures in this class. Starting from the foundation, we’ll explore how to approach more complex postures with confidence and joy!

WEEK 4: LET’S FLOW! | INTEGRATION
In this final week, we’ll integrate everything we’ve learned so far. You’ll experience how your accumulated knowledge and experience come together in a rhythmic flow that feels both powerful and fluid. Let’s Flow & Glow!
