Exploring the Energetics of Yoga, a 25 hour yoga weekend intensive with Joan Hyman
This immersive training invites you to awaken the subtle body through the practice of yoga. The subtle body is the energetic field that connects body, breath and mind.
Over the course of this long weekend we explore how movement, breath and awareness shape the flow of prana. Through asana, pranayama and meditation you will deepen your connection to the more subtle layers of your practice and refine how you move, breathe and sequence with intention.
This training is for dedicated practitioners and teachers who feel curious about the energetics behind the physical practice and who want to deepen their experience beyond alignment alone. This training is open to teachers and dedicated yoga practitioners. You do not need to be a teacher to join. A regular yoga practice and curiosity to dive deeper is enough!
What you will explore
• The foundations of yoga energetics including prana, nadis, bandhas and chakras
• the relationship between physical alignment and the energetic flow
• Sequencing as a tool to guide prana through the body
• Pranayama and meditation as gateways to the subtle body
• Safe and intelligent progressions toward more advanced postures
